Greetings all,

My name is Lisa, and I'm proud to be owned by three orange tabbies. All three of them were rescues, from the same family, who came to live with us in March 2005. We have Polly, the momma (who happens to be the smallest of the bunch); Muffin, the oldest daughter (who is the big huge fatty, but she doesn't mind); and Mimi, the kitten. She's going on two years old now, but still acts like a wee little crazy.

Below, some pictures of them from nearly a year ago now:

Muffin, looking disinterested

Mimi, just before she swatted me (and scratched, the little booger!)

A few hours later:

Polly, giving herself a good cleaning

But that's not enough. Oh, no! Must take care of Mimi as well.

And a little post-bath nuzzle

But Muffin wonders "Where's the love?"

Hi Lisa,

Such adorable cats you have there. I love ginger cats as I had some like that in the past. Welcome to the site.

Thank you all for the kind welcome!
I got lucky with those pictures, that's for sure. Having a digital camera means you can waste a whole lot of bad pictures, in pursuit of that one good one. I think those shots took about fifty. Hee!

You lucky duck! I love orange girl kitties but they're hard to find -- and you have three! They're adorable!

Thanks, SnowLeop! Their daddy was a big ol' orange tabby, and Mimi has two littermates, both of them males who stayed with my friends when I took all the girls. My friends had been absolutely horrible about getting their kitties fixed - hence, two litters that never should have happened. When I decided to get another cat after the loss of my old boy, I had my heart set on little Mimi... but I couldn't do with just her. I took all the ladies home with me.

Quite the busy home we have now!

AHA! He was good at that. He tended to be very aloof, intermingled with fits of I WILL BITE YOUR HEAD, but deep down, he was a lovable boy who liked attention. He was just picky, that's all.
