My last stray found a home in January now I have another one. This time it is a male and he is not fixed. Has sores on his legs(they are healing), burrs in his hair, earmites(i treated him for these), and probably worms. Here is my situation. I just had a major surgery 3.5 weeks ago and my husband stayed home from work so we are really short on money for the time being. I will not take any cat to a shelter knowing 70% in my area are euthanized. And all no kill rescues are full and wont accept more cats. Now because he is not fixed I dont want him inside to spray. I can feed him and see if he stays around till I can afford to fix him and find him a new home or I can find him a new home in the condition he is in. What do you think I should do?

I understand your feelings regarding taking him to the shelter...however, leaving him outdoors is allowing him to potentially get several females pregnant. I would go with whatever choice will get him neutered and indoors. I know you are against taking cats to the shelter..but leaving him intact will only allow him to create more litters of unwanted kittens.
