Mammogram time...........:(

I could use some good luck vibes for my upcoming mammogram and gyno visit next Tuesday...................good Lord how I hate these...........

I have to go in August, I dread it! Its the worst 5-10 minutes of my life!

I've got to make a gyno appointment myself. (After I locate a new one...I just can't stand my old one any more.) You've inspired me...I think I'll quit putting it off and get the appointment made today.

Ditto! I've been putting it off so long that I've run out of BC pills! It's really not that big of a deal, I just hate it though.

Tell him he should try having his private parts put in a vice and see if he likes it!

I have decided not to get them anymore since reading some medical articles that say mammograms are not as effective as we have been led to believe. There are other, less intrusive means of checking our breasts apparently, that are just as good. (Don't ask me what they are right now because I'm having a senior's moment and can't remember.)

I've never had a mammogram (only 22) but I can imagine it's just no fun.
Last time I went for the other thing, the nurse was training so there were 2 of them there. I think she was nervous, after she'd done it, I was getting dressed and she dropped it on the floor and had to repeat the whole thing. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole.

I just had the biggest part of mine physical done, all except the mammogram, Dr says I'm in better shape then she is And the dreaded chest xray ( I haven't quit smoking yet It's so hard I've tried 3 or 4 times. I had that done the 17th of April called 5 times, the office girl said it's on Drs. desk if she wants to talk to you she'll be asking for your number if not she will sent it in the mail, I asked her what took so long that's right down stairs from your office, she said they haden't read it I hate getting that done worse then anything, I alway's feel like everyone is looking at me when I leave feeling sorry for me But you'll be fine Vibes coming your way no one I know likes getting it done either, but at least I do go every year.

Ugh, I'll be setting up my gyno appt. in a few weeks after I get moved into our apartment in NC. I'm 24 so I don't get mammograms yet, but I've been told I need to start around 35 because my grandmother died of breast cancer. Not looking forward to that at all.

Well, I've only had one mammogram. I'm 42 now. But that wasn't bad at all. I'm rather LARGE in the bust area, so I think the bigger you are, the easier it is for the technician. It's the other stuff I don't like and then of course, I'm always worried they'll find something I don't want to hear............ugh.

Oh gosh I'm old at it I have had at least 15...
