My girlfriend is having a massive flea problem that may be the result of a used cat condo (it's one of those big cat trees). We sprayed the sucker completely with a commercial spray before bringing it into the house, but were unaware that there might be tricky larva or eggs that we wouldn't be easily rid of.
Flash forward to the present and she has a bad flea outbreak at her apartment. Besides the regular treatments, bombing, vacuuming, flea treatment for the cats, etc., is there any special way to treat the cat condo?
She wants to throw the tree out, but I'm reluctant to because the cats adore it (or they did before the fleas started to appear) and it cost us an arm and a leg to buy in the first place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
