Today was an insane day!

I volunteered for the big annual bike ride here in Montreal (the "Tour de l'ile") and once my volunteering duty was done, I rode the rest of the tour.

Which means that I got up at 6am, met with the other volunteers, stood at a street corner until early afternoon and helped pedestrians cross the street (with tens of thousands of cyclists going by, it's not always easy) and then rode a total of 48 km (30 miles).
I'm really surprised I actually finished the tour (and then rode my bike home). My legs were killing me from being on my feet all morning, before I even got on my bike.

My behind hurts.

Anyways, I'm really proud of myself and normally this would call for a happy smilly like this:

But really I'm feeling more like this right now:

Thanks.

I'm surprised I was able to do it too. I guess I'm in better shape than I thought. I hadn't used my bike since last summer but I spent the last year walking to school every day (30 minutes each way). I guess that helped!

This is fantastic, Marie! That's something I'd enjoy but haven't had the motivation, good for you for taking action! You must feel so great about your accomplishment!
Ooo, bet you'll be feeling it tomorrow! Ha, this little guy looks about right!
