I usually worm around 4 weeks of age, but yes kittens can be done earlier. I do NOT recommend OTC worming medications.
You can take in a stool sample to your vet, along with accurate weights and they can give worming medication that they feel is best.
This should be repeated 2-3 times during the first 12 weeks of life.
I usually give Strongid-T the first 2 times, and then use Drontal, which has 3 active ingredients that will rid of most worms.
Check with your vet, and get his/her opinion on the worming schedule they feel is best.

Thanks my babies are 4 weeks old and I just don't want them to get sick if they have worms. I also want to worm Momma as well can I do that and worm the babies even though they are still nursing?

Well different country and different brands but we use OTC here.

I worm Mum not long after the babies but I first worm the babies at about 5-6 weeks old.

Yup, if the medication specifies that you can.

Yes, you can deworm Mom while she is nursing. You can safely use Pyrantel Pamoate, which is Strongid-T, Nemex.
It is important to do the Mom as well as kittens, as certain worms can reinfect kittens through nursing.
Pyrantel will take care of roundworm and hookworms, but not effective against tapeworm.
Talk with your vet to get accurate dosing for Mom and kittens. Reworming is typically needed 2-3 times to fully rid the cat/kitten of certain intestinal worms.
