Hi everyone,

I haven't been for a while because I just got my kitty yesterday. I picked him up at the airport and now he's home. I have been known to be a bit worry-some, so I thought I'd run this by you guys first.

When I got him, he had a bit of runny eyes, not a lot but just enough to worry me. Then last night and this morning I've noticed him sneezing. His breathing is fine and he's been sniffing his safe room a bunch. He's also shaken his head about four times this morning and scratched one ear. It looks to be clear though - pretty pink. Is this just from the plane ride or do I need to call a vet. He's been eating and drinking water.

Thanks

Renovia

Yes - time for the VET.

Your baby has the makings of a URI (upper respiratory infection) - quite common actually and easily treated but it also can be very serious if ignored - especially in kittens.

....and of course COngradulations on the new addition to your family!!

In my contracts when I sell a kitten, the kitten has to be seen by the owner's vet within 72 hrs. I don't sell a kitten that has any signs of being sick (besides the kitten has to be cleared for flight by my vet anyway).

I'd take it to the vet and get him checked out. If you wait and there is something wrong, then the person you got your cat from may or may not refund your money.
