Hi, I just wanted to share the good news.
A week ago my little Bilbo was literally at the brink of death, not eating or drinking, listless and losing the will to live, in and out of the vets on a drip and then home for a day as he was pining so much only to go back in the next and back on the drip again and I have had an agonising time waiting to find out if he had FeLV, FIV or, even worse FIP.
On Thurs the first two results came back negative so I was convinced it was FIP, then on Saturday that result came back negative aswell so it turns out to be just a nasty virus. After a week of absolute hell you can imagine the relief I felt. He started picking up on Sunday and it was such a joy to see him eating again and actually drinking. He is still not 100% but getting better by the day. He is even starting to play and back to his old trick of pinching food off my plate - I will never tell him off for doing that again!! I am so grateful for this second chance I have had with him. I lost his brother last year and my other oriental a year before and there was nothing I could do. I didn`t know how I was going to cope with losing him aswell.
He has been through so much and it`s great to have him back and have the chance to thoroughly spoil him and make up for his ordeal. I never got that chance with my others.
