Playtime with your kittie?

I was wonldering how much interactive playtime you play with your fur babies each day?

I usually play with Sebastian for 30 min -1 hr depending on the day. But some days I feel bad he only gets about 15 minutes or so when I work long days. However he gets lots of cuddle time all the time and he has tons of toys to play with on his own.

Do you think he needs more playtime with me?

I play with pudge for about two hours a day, broken up into 30-minute intervals (a bit less than that on work days, though)


It sounds like you are doing well with him. If he does not seem stressed out about it, I'd say he is fine.

PS. He's a gorgeous lad.

I am trying to give him enough playtime but sometimes he does not even want to play when I do. Last night I was trying his favorite toys with him and he was not in the mood so we did not even play together yesterday. But it was his choice so I am okay with that.

I think he is happy..he is definately a ham and loves being the king of the house!

Trout gets a good 2 hours at least of fetch per day. She likes to play a few times during the day, and it probably adds up to about 2 hours or so.

Tavia likes to play once in a while I offer but she doesn't always want to but normally when we try to play her sissy the dog interrupts us and it makes her mad and she gets up and leaves. I work nights so its hard for me to schedule play but anytime she seems a bit more rambuctious I get her feathers out. And she plays with her sissy too. Will really be glad to get a second cat so she can have a cat sibling instead of a dog to play with. And your boy is so pretty. Makes me think of the fancy feast cat a little bit only he's cutier.

With my older cat I spend an hour or so in the evening actively playing with him but with my kitten it's several hours (and yes, I am exhausted!). There are some days though when I'm too tired or busy to spend that long and others when I spend a bit more time.

I think most of our little fur balls tend to adapt to our available time, if they are unhappy they let us know in a variety of ways.............
Maia is 10 weeks and a lover, all she wants is snuggles, kisses, hugs and play! I have had her for almost 4 weeks and I work at home. Ofcourse kittens need more attantion, yet she is adapting to when I am predisposed with something else. She actually recently started fetching her toys with me! Sometimes she will wake me up to play.......My older cats basically told me when they wanted to play, and I am a sucker for kitties! Then again, they would always be there for me as well............
I would just make sure there is always a change of toys available so Seb. is never bored.. I always kept the little rabbit mice and other furry toys in a catnip container and pull out a new one once in a while, then you find the others around and stick them back in the container....Maia is not old enough for catnip but has a playground in the living room, but ofcourse nothing beats playing with me!

Skittles was getting about 2-3 hr a day as she got older it got less.. Now it is about hr maybe a little more. SHe has tons of toys... He is so soft looking and cuddly.

Sebastian is very cuddly...i pick him up and hold him like a baby and he also likes lots of hugs. He is my baby.
I feel better knowing that he is probably getting enough playtime with me. Just today he was in catnip heaven!

He looks so playful here

I used to play with Napolean everyday. I've gotten lax because he plays with the dogs all day... and when I take the cat toy out one of my dogs likes to go after it, so he never has a chance! Today I played with him for a good 15 minutes, I'm going to start playing with him again and just putting the dog outside so I can because he really likes his toys.

I also give him those little fake mice to toss around too.
