Hi, I am pretty possitive my little girl has a few fleas she brought home with her from mom. She is a bit itchy when she wakes up mostly, a little dry skin to, but I seem to have tiny white welts recently on my arms. Fleas are just so hard to see!
Was hopeing to get some treatment input, I would like to give her a bath with something that may help dry skin as well.............Whats best?
Thanks, Maia and Cheyenne

Get flea treatments from your vet. Over the counter products are dangerous for pets.

Advantage works well with my kitties and they do have a dosage for kittens.

I agree with Stormy. I'd also like to add that I wouldn't bath your kitty. I know with dogs they shouldn't have a bath until they are over 12 weeks of age. Their internal thermostat isn't fully developed and it can cause serious problems as well as death if the water is too cold or too hot.
If I was you I'd feed her a kitten food that has some type of oil in it for the dry skin. That's just my opinion.

Treatment does depend on age. Young kittens shouldn't get flea meds like advantage. I think 8 weeks old is the absolute minimum. Prior to that bathing is ok, even recommended, you can use a sudly mix of warm water and joy dishwashing liquid. The soap will stun the fleas, and then you can use a comb afterwards. Yes young kittens need to stay warm, use warm water and dry them promptly and you will be fine.

you can also was young kittens with fleas in Dawn Dish soap, its perfectly safe, and told to me from my vet.

wet the kitten with warm water, soap her up, let sit for a minute, then rinse. you might have to do it 2x times, to make sure the fleas are dead, but it works, and works well

Thankyou each and all, especially Liza24! Looked up your Dawn treatment and it is a known remedy for fleas , safe for kits and pups!
I questioned her having fleas since I got her, but when I started getting bitten, enough is enough, she must have them. So when I got the Dawn I tried it out on me first, and instantly felt better! I thought maybe it was something else, but I guess not!
She was great through the bath and I made sure she never got a chill.

So here she is bathing herself after the bath!

And here she is saying thankyou!
