Hi folks,
I am new here, and hope I am doing this right. I found this site lookig for information on Tiger Ranch, and decided to join.
I am retired, with way too many cats. ;-). A Siamese lover my whole life, i went to the shelter when following the passing of two of mine, I was left with one lonely cat who needed friends. I came home with a blue eyed black male (obviously at least part Siamese), and two kittens. I believe my late Rishi was guiding me through my friend to go get them because I wasn't ready yet. Through the friend Rishie even named one, a tortie, Sage. (Rishi is Hindu for sage or wise one) Then Rishi guided a stray mom with four feral kittens to me. (at this point I said to him stop! I can't save the all) I was six months sitting on a cold basement floor taming them. I found a home for one of the kittens, the others only trust me. Mommie Cat, named because she was a good mom, is one I am trying to place now, mostly because I think she would adjust well since she has done so before. Last December I took in a neighbor cat when he was left out in 7 degree weather, and since his owner drinks, I am trying to find a good home for him too. I need to thin the herd a bit.
Oh yes. That big black part Siamese cat was very protective of me, waking me several times when my blood sugar got too low at night, (I am diabetic) I believe he was the cat my late Rishi wanted me to have.
My last addition was Yoda, a kitten from a mom that I helped to save two years ago. While bottle feeding the kittens, this one was so ugly we all thought she looked like Yoda in Star Wars. She turned into this litle Main Coon lookalike. She is now beautiful, but still answers to Yoda.
Ok,now that ou know more about me than maybe you wanted, I'll sin off.
Sharon
