Abi was quarantined in the master suite while carpenters and the cable guy worked at the house. When they were done I let her out and we were just exploring a new nook for her when we heard a horrendous crash. A shelf bracket inside a cabinet whose doors has been removed snapped in half and kitchen floor was covered with shards of glass steeped in a (small) shattered bottle of vodka. The Maker's Mark survived. I am going to have some tonight.

My husband's complaints that we have too much glassware is now squashed. But I regret the loss of an art glass champagne flute we bought on an anniversary beach trip.

Getting every little bit of glass off the floor before I could let Abi in the kitchen again took over an hour. I ihad to clean every grouut line is little slivers. It's not like I can explain and she can wear shoes. poor baby. poor me.

Gotta mourn the loss of perfectly good vodka!
That's a bummer about losing the glassware. Why did it suddenly sanp? Did it have anything to do with the cable guy being there?

LOL the other day we saw our neighbours getting an alcohol delivery. We were like "who gets alcohol deliveries?!!" Dissing our neighbours is a bit of a favourite pastime for us, but now that it's so hot and we'd really like a beer but can't be bothered to go all the way to the store, delivery seems like a great idea!

In these days of too many people drinking and driving, I think a beer truck is in order. I mean... the kids have ice cream trucks, right?

so sorry for the loss of your vodka...

and I think an alcohol delivery service would be great... no more drinking and driving!

also, I hate breaking glass... First I sweep, the I use the vaccuum in between cracks/grout, then I get on my hands & knees with a wet paper towel. It picks up those little slivers...
