Hello everybody
, I am glad to have found this forum, I like to chat about my cats. I have 3 females Lisa (16) Pookie (8) Kim (7) and one male (3). I got them all as small to very small kittens. Raising them up was a funny time but still now they love to play when they are not sleeping or looking for interesting things outside. But I have one question about my Lisa.
Since she was about 6 yrs old she started suddenly to pee against the furniture, chairs even against the leg of my husband or on the floor of the kitchen or the staircase ! And not a little pee but a waterfall. I tried to find out why, nothing had changed in the house or in her life. I went to the vet who thought it was hormonical and gave her medication. I put pepper, spray, everything what friends recommended to me on the favorite places, nothing to do. And the worst she is almost vicious ! She looks at me or my husband then turns around and pees against something. Follows shouting, hand clapping etc. then she runs away and in half an hour she is back purring and straking against our legs. The waterpistol I used to shoot on the cats when they were kittens doesn't help either. She does it not all the time but periodically. Has somebody had the same experience and what to do ? She is an old lady now and very cude.

TO TCS!

I am sorry I cannot help you with your problem with Lisa, it is very odd that she just suddenly started spraying. She is marking her territory it sounds like but why is she suddenly doing this without any change to her environemt. Is she having any problems with your other cats? I am sure the heath forum can help you better, Good Luck!

Hello and welcome to The Cat Site

This is a fun and informative place with tons of friendly people...

You will love it here

I'm sorry that I don't have any suggestions to your question either. There is a behavior forum... someone there might be able to help. Good luck, I know that must be very frustrating.

Hello and welcome to TCS.

4 wonderful furbabies, that is awesome. I don't have any for sure answers for you about your kitty, but I would suggest posting the question in the Behavior forum or maybe even in the health forum for some good advice. I thought it could possibly just be old age??? Sorry I couldn't be more help and I look forward to getting to know you and your furbabies better on the other forums soon,

Kallie
