We weren't eating ANY wet food and then meowmy read about how much better wet food was (especially for us "altered" fellows) and went out and bought 2 cans of each kind of good quality food and just gave us one at a time to try. Some of them we wouldn't even try - yuck. She said we had stinky poo for a little while until our system got used to the wet food (and our poo was a bit soft for a few days) but then we went back to our normal healthy poo poo selves.

Meowmy ordered something for us online tonight, she says it's a surprise. We can't wait to find out what it is. Spike says he hopes it's food. I just hope it comes with a big box for me to climb in.

We're sad because our Da Bird is dead.

Hey there Cotton n' Spike. Meowmy says I should tell you that you are both very handsome. (She's a sucker for a handsome face.) We're sad your DaBird is dead too - they are so much fun to play with. Hopefully your meowmy's surprise is a new one for you to play with. We'll keep our paws crossed for you.

Thank you!

Meowmy says that she wants us to eat wet food. We tried some before and it was yucky, Spike licked a little juice off it and I wouldn't eat it at all. Meowmy said she ordered something else for us today, some canned food made by Dr. Foster 'n Dr. Smith. What do doctors know about cooking?

But she says she thinks we'll like it an' Meowmy does lots of nice stuff for us so I guess it'll be ok.

so our tummy not get upset?
That's right S&H - the people that know all these things say that changing food too fast can upset our delicate tummies.

Give your meowmy hugs and kitty kisses from us. My meowmy says that those bad infections can be very uncomfortable. We are glad the other stuff is OK.

Dear Shen 'n Humble,

Our Meowmy says to say that she hopes your meowmy feels better. I'm giving your meowmy my best cute face with my tongue out.

That special food our meowmy ordered for us came in yesterday and she put out a can of the chicken and fish flavor and we didn't eat it. Meowmy was disappointed but she said she would keep trying, and this morning we tried a turkey flavor and didn't eat that either.

Meowmy says she's going to keep giving us wet food until we eat it, but that's silly, we like our dry food just fine. (Spike says more food is always good.)

Your friends,

Spike 'n Cotton

Yeah Shen 'n Humble, she did. She tried lotsa things, dipping some of our dry food in the gravy for us to eat, mixing the dry food and the wet food together, she even tried putting treats on top of the wet food, but we wouldn't eat any of it.

Meowmy went out today and bought some Nutro Pouches for us to try, and we won't eat it either. She says she's going to keep trying!

Oh, and we got our surprise today. It wasn't a toy! It was COLLARS! Mean Meowmy wants us to wear these things around our necks in case we ever get outside by accident. Mine's blue and has my name and Meowmy's phone number on it in gold, and Spike's is red with his name and the phone number.

We don't like them at all!

Hey hello you good looking dudes. I hope your meowmy got you the break-away collars so you'll be safe inside or outside.

I don't want to scare you, but some kitties have gotten caught in their collars and it's very dangerous. We wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you or any of our friends.

Awww thanks! Yeah, Meowmy got safe collars. I've already pulled mine off once!
They have bells on them too and that's the only good thing about the collars. We're gonna use the jingly bells to bother Meowmy an' Daddy while they try to sleep tonight.

Thanks for thinkin' about us, Meowmy says she appreciates it too!

We never go out either, but Meowmy is afraid we'll get out by accident. Spike always gets excited when she opens the front door to bring in a package, and it worries silly Meowmy.

Hey guys, my meowmy said it's not silly of your meowmy to worry about you handsome gents. That's what meowmy's are for - to worry and take good care of us. Meowmy says your meowmy must love you both very much.

My meowmy got me microchipped and Mika's meowmy got her microchipped too just in case we get lost.

We got those chip things too, the Challenger's House we lived at before Meowmy 'n Daddy brought us home put 'em in us. They did it at the same time we got neutered, so we were asleep.

I was a year old and Mika was about 9 months. The veterinarian used a big needle and did it really quick so it only hurt for a second. They didn't have to put me to sleep. They put it in the back of my neck to one side. It's about the size of a grain of rice.

We were both very brave.
