we SAD we SAD...we are on our way to the vet! We gotta get shots. we gotta get x rays. we gotta get teefs cleened. and to add insult to injury, we gotta get a thing poked up our butts.

We dint let meowmy sleep all night, efurr.

We gonna haf a cold coke wen we get home an some kitty food, pleeze. Meowmy got a call from the vet place. we resting cumfurrtably.
she gonna tawk to the vet bout our bladders an stuff. she let u all no an we tank you for the prayers.

Oh, did your vicious hooman decide you need to go to that beterinaryan thingy? When mine does, I act so pitiful it brings her to tears. Have you maybe tried that? Oh, I just kiddin. You are gonna be jus fine Shen and Humle. Jus be real nice to da vet and your mommy, theys jus tryin to take cares of you boys. I'll keep my paws crossed it goes quickly!!!

The cats are well. $946 for blood work, x rays, shots, fecal exams, antibioitcs, Revolution for 6 months, and all the dental work. I don't guess that is too bad: $475 or so per cat.

I am exhausted. None of us slept well. Shenandoah kept pulling the covers off me and giving me headbutts to ask for food. Humble cried.

Humble weighs 13.4 pounds
Shenandoah weighs 14.6 pounds, a little too much, but they are boht big kitties.

Conner, how much does your meowmy feed you? I want to help Shenandoah lose a pound. He will ONLY eat wet food, and he ONLY likes Fancy Feast. I am going to try 1 1/2 little cans a day.

What do you think?

We SO glad to here that you boys are well....I dont think I wood stress so much about the weight.....its not like you all are real fat......sides Mr Butch WAS real fat and he lived to be 18 and maybe wood have lived longer but we not going into that. GRAT news about the good checkups.....luv jasper and tia

We're glad you guys got all checked out and are fine. Meowmy says that if your meowmy got you a little better quality food that you wouldn't eat as much and you might slim down. That's what happened to me. I slimmed down some after meowmy started feeding me a good wet food.

But we made her buy a whole lot of different kinds before we would eat one of them.

The vet had said that thisd special prescripion diet would dissolve the stones (c/d feline), but that is ALL Humble has eaten, and his stone is still there; Shenandoah's stone is still there, too, but no bigger, and he will eat only Fancy FEAST.
So....I am not worrying.

Both kitties are still lethargic today. I am letting them sleep as much as they like. I have CLAVAMOX to give them 2X a day.

My favourite special vet said that she saw more kitties come in with stones from eating Fancy Feast than any other food.

I am glad the kitkats are resting well. Sorry I am just now answering. My fatcat eats purina indoor cat formula. I don't want to change that because it keeps him from getting any hairballs. Before this food he got them all the time, now...zip. Absolutely none. It is supposed to aid in watching their weight as well. He gets the same brand of wet food in small amounts. I can't put him on too much wet food, it umm, to put it politely, *upsets* his digestive system, lol. I am focusing more on portion control with him. I put down a small but sustainable amount of dry in the morning which he just nibbles on through out the day till it's gone, and in the evenings I give him a very small amount of wet food (maybe 1/3 of the can), which he devours like it might get up and run away if he doesn't eat it fast enough, lol!

His weight is starting to stabilize rather than increase now. The reason he gained so much was because before about 4 1/2 months ago we lived with roommates who had a cat and dog. Conner, being the food hog he is, would sneak and eat the other cat's food, which was kitten food, so extra fatty. And not just that, lol, but he would eat the dog's food too. We tried to seperate it but always to no avail. Like his mamma, he has no self control!! So anyhoo, portioning his food more strictly and him not having access to any other food (since we live alone) has stabilized his weight over the past few months, I am hoping he'll drop a lb or two, but if not, it's not too much of a biggie!!

i dont no wat kinda fud Bijou & Mika's meowmy sed, but my meowmy feeds us 1/2 meow mix & 1/2 chicken soup [bof wet] cuz i hav intestnl problms win i eet hi kwalitee fud onlee.

eneeway the meow mix pouchs & the markt selex ar bof veree tastee

Chip also eets wet fud like me. Pixel & Java eet mosly dry & dey eet chicken soup dry but meowmy is think of chanjin to nachural balance cuz Pixel has dandrufff! glad y'all ar ok ~ Cable

De vet man sez is a lil problem cause ther 2 of us an sumtimes Shenandoah sneeks a lil of my (did humble tawkin) dry fud.
