I know how you feel... it's 2:00AM here and it doesn't look like I'll be getting to sleep anytime soon.

Most people are good in my area and say well a dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta do. I don't mind other peoples' dogs barking it's when Jazz gets going!

We had that problem with a dog in our old neighborhood. Family would leave the dog out all night cause they said it was a pain in the neck in the house at night. If that's the case - take it to obedience school, don't put it outside all night. So all the poor dog did was howl and bark all night long (which I'm sure was a lot better for the family then having it in the house? I don't think so). It finally got to the point where we had to report the family to the "Animal Police". They informed the family that they must keep the pet inside or it will be removed from the home (disturbing the peace or something?). We didn't want to do it, but after countless (and I say countless!!) nights without sleep we had had enough. Since then the dog was kept in the house every night and we slept much better. (I just hope the family smartened up and got it some training
)

One of our neighbor's dogs yap a lot. I used to be annoyed, but then I found out the dog is blind so it barks at everything in order to tell where things are. I feel much better about the dog and my neighbor ever since. It doesn't hurt that the dog is a cute old little white maltese, also.

I am currently having some problems with people knocking at my door at 3 A.M. Sometimes hubby works late, so I never answer the door after 10 PM. I figure it is probably my brother-in-law's ex girlfriend anyway. She is finally graduating (after 10 years of college
). So I don't really care what she does anymore. She'll be moving away from my apartment in a couple of months.

Yeah, but I dunno where this dog even lives~noone out here has a dog like that(but he had a collar on) he was in my backyard yapping, thats what annoyed me...lol. So I let my dogs out to see if it would scare him off, and all it did was make him run into another yard and he sat there and yapped!!

I'd be tempted to ask you if you lived near me. LOL.

We have this dog that wanders about, my neighbor's have an outdoor cat named Smokey (all grey) and he terrorizes that cat.

He's gotten into our garbage at least a dozen times, scattering the trash all over our yard and then we have to take a shovel and put it in a new bag (the trash only goes once a week).

It poops in our yard (we don't have a dog) and so when the kids are outside playing I have to check to make sure the dog didn't leave it's poop everywhere.

I wish I knew whose dog it was cause then I'd have a talk with them.

It is so shocking to me that someone would just let their dogs roam free like that.

What if the dog is you know, aggressive and someone's kid gets bit or something.

That's just irresponsible.

Hehe, u ,live in Kansas?
This dog is probly a stray but he did have a collar on-thats what gets me. I mean I know all the people out here where I live and out of about 20 houses, only maybe 4 of us have dogs(including me) I drove down the road today though and my son said "did those neighbors get a new dog?" I guess that same dog was coming down the hill by their place..so who knows! I just know I wasnt very happy to get woke up to his yapping.
