I went outside a while ago to bring Maggie and Dutchess in.. and I was a little surprised that neither of them noticed when I opened the door.. Maggie was just standing there looking at the ground, and Dutchess was playing with something in her mouth. I ran over to see what it was, and she had a baby bird in her mouth. She dropped it, and it was still alive, so I made them go in the house and went back to check on it.. it was still alive, and I was going to pick it up and move it since it was right in the middle of the yard, but all of these bluejays keep trying to attack me whenever I get close. I haven't been close enough to see it since I brought the dogs in, and I'm worried that it might be dead since those stupid birds keep chasing me away.

I have been finding dead baby birds too
And those blue jays are MEAN!! I mean they really are, and very protective. I remember once when a blue jay actually attacked one of my moms cats! Poor 'lil birdie though-RIP....

Ummmm...cute story about baby birds (maybe to cheer you all up?).
When I was young, walking home from school one day I saw something on the end of someones driveway. It was tiny, tan, and completely "naked" (i.e. no feathers) and still moving!! So me being young and naive - I was completely (COMPLETELY!) convinced I had found an alien. I picked it up and brought it home so fast! Couldn't wait to show my folks. Thought we would be on TV, in the papers, etc. Boy was I suprised when my mom told me it was a baby bird. Up to that day I had never ever seen a bird without feathers.
