does anyone have the self cleaning litter box from Omega Paws (see it here)?

is there a trick to how far to roll it over? and how much litter (in inches, if possible) do i use to fill it? i don't want litter all over the laundry room....that's what i'm trying to avoid in the first place!

any other tricks regarding this litter box? the cats have taken to it quite well (still have the other one out, just in case).

I used to roll it over slowly, but would have to follow with a hard, aggressive roll to empty out the smaller "bits" that get caught in the grill. Eventually i went back to the scoop. Nothing like taking matters into your own hands.

"The coordinating plastic mat (sold separately) prevents litter tracking"

You can buy just the mat for $7.99

It is cute but not that cute

I haven't used the litter box, but I do have two of the mats, and they work a treat. (FWIW)

This is the only litterbox I have ever used and I wouldn't try any other. Not only do you not have to touch anything, it does come apart quite easily for cleaning purposes. For amt of litter, I probably put in about 3 inches, but that's cuz Sadie likes to have a lot to kick around. For daily cleanups, simply tip it over fully on its side (yes, slow motion is best) - sometimes you'll have to do this twice to get everything. As for the mat, some cats don't like it because of the little nubs on it, and they decide its just easier to jump over it instead.
