Congrats on a healthy litter. Good idea, slipping Boots' kitten in with Sadie. And I'm glad she has her own room so she can keep the kittens safe.

Have you made appointments yet for the other Momma's to get spayed? Hopefully, that can happen in the next week or two, before someone gets preggers again!

Not yet I haven't trying to find a vet that will work with me. my hubby got canned from his job that he was with for nine years with no explanation. Not happy, but life goes on and we live in Branson so not like it gonna be hard to find another job that will suit him better. Hated the hours he had to work anyways. But I will get my babies fixed. hubby still tryin to talk me into giving up girls for boys I DON'T THINK SO...lol my male kitties always run off

Here is the link from the stickies at the top...in MO, it looks like there are several places that base the fee on your income!

Remember, you can either get them spayed, or keep them indoors only to prevent a pregnancy. I'm glad you have let your hubby know that you can't just trade one pet in on another due to gender. However, if you can't really afford to care for the current pets (including spay/neuter), I do not personally think you should consider keeping another kitten. In just a few short months, even the tiny newborns will be old enough to reproduce, and it is irresponsible to allow that.

Please check out the link, and start calling to check the possibility of spaying your kitties soon. Your last few weeks have been simply devastating, with the multiple deaths of babies from various causes. I cannot imagine you going through that horror again!

I once drove 45 miles (one direction) to pick up a foster cat and her 2 week old kittens. Sunday I drove 30 miles (again, one way) to give up Natalie and her 6 daughters to a new foster home. My husband lost his job over a month ago, and may not be able to find another one in his field. Facts are facts, and one fact is that you have 4 female cats, that you must either strictly keep indoors only, or in 2 months you will have 4 more litters.

I'm not trying to pick on you, but there needs to be a certain amount of problem solving to prevent more kittens. I just want to know what you are willing and able to do, to prevent your cats from reproducing.

I am new here and I don't mean to be nosey but some people can't drive 40 miles just to see a vet. I also understand that pets are overpopulated but life happens too.
