Im sure theres been posts about dreams, but I am just wondering, do any of you have a certain dream? I mean, that like occurs ALL the time? For some odd reason, I have been dreaming ALOT about going shopping, or moving into an old house that we(my family) used to live in. I dunno if its telling me something or what-I guess I just find it odd.

I have been having strange dreams lately. Like last night was one of the weirdest dreams I have ever had in my whole life. I dreamed that the devil or a demon was trying to kill people and the only way you could kill him or it was to rip its spine out.... yeah I know weird!!

I think that when a dream happens again and again, it wishes to convey a message from your subconscious. Recently I believe that my own dreams are telling me to convert and become a Jew....

YES!!!! I have a lot of nightmares about bears and I don't know why?!! I have never encountered a bear or seen one in the wild, just at the zoo. I have these horrible nightmares about big grizzly bears trying to kill me. All I do is run from them in my dreams. I am never safe. In my dreams I sometimes find myself in an attic in a huge house and the bears become gigantic and bust through the entire house to get to me...
My mom has said I have had nightmares about them ever since I was little. She jokingly said maybe in my past life I was attacked by a bear.

Odd. I used to have the same nightmares. It was indeed very frightening.

Really?? I mean it would be one thing if we even had bears around here, but we don't. The closest bears are about 250 miles away in the Smokey Mountains.

I had a weird dream the other night.... I dreamt that I was getting married with my ex boyfriend, even though I was in love with someone else and I knew that the only reason he wanted to marry me was because the girl he really loved wouldn't marry him.
What a nightmare! Was I ever glad to wake up from that dream!!

When I was a kid, I used to have very similar nightmares quite often. There would always be someone or something chasing me (when I was young it was usually a monster, as I got older it was a man trying to rape me). I would run away and finally find my parents and feel safe again, until I realised that my parents were not going to help me.

I kept having this dream until one day, I found my parents (as usual) and they refused to help me (as usual) but instead of being scared, I found a baseball bat and defended myself.

I never had that dream since.

When I was 8 years old, durning the summer months (2 months straight) I had these two re-occuring nightmares. One was about a portal to hell in my bedroom wall and I had to go there and the second one was about my family going on vaction and getting murdered by the devil and they all went to hell.

I think I've finally firgured out why I had those dreams or what they mean.

Going to church on sunday was a very tramatic event for me as a child. I hated it and I was bad, so I got a spanking. Then when I got into church and sunday school, all I heard was if you do this you'll go to hell, etc. I truely believe now that I had those dreams because I was convinced that my family and I were going to go to hell because we are sinners and that I was bad because I hated church. These dreams were so realistic and scarey, I did not sleep the entire summer and had to see a doctor.

Thankfully, I still have my own seperate religion that I maintain. I still, to this day, have a hard time going into a church though.

Well, in the Great Kingdom of Suburbia(
), we don't have any bears. There may be some in the big forests, but those are several cities away.

Dreams can be pretty fun and also interesting. Pretty much they convey what's really going on in your life.
I.e. a girl I use to know said that whenever she felt stressed out, then she would always having a dream of being on a high-wire trying not to fall. She finally figured out the corelation between the dream and what's going on in her life, so she would work on de-stressing herself so the dreams wouldn't come back.
Dreams can also reflect our deepest fears/fantasies/desires. For a while when I first started dating someone, I would have a dream of them being a jerk or somehow hurting me. In the end, they would. I started to pay attention to my dreams a bit more to see if I was dreaming this because I was insecure or dreaming because my unconscious self knewthey were incompatible. Pretty soon I began listening to my unconscious self. So far I haven't had any bad dreams about B, so I guess that's good!

also I was always told this (but am not sure if its true), that you always dream. If you remember your dreams, your a happy person. If you don't remember your dreams, there's something going on in your life that makes you unhappy, so it's tying up more your memory then what's used to remember your dreams.

If you have wacky dreams, keep a dream journal. Write in it as soon as you wake up. Then after a week read it to see if there's a pattern.

I don't have recurring dreams, but I sometimes have really intense dreams. They are either really scary or emotional dreams, and I will wake up actually crying or scared to death and sweating. It's really weird, especially the sad ones because I wake up still sad and I can't stop crying. Weird.

I occasionally get bad dreams, but what I really hate is when I have really nice dreams... only to wake up and find out it was just a dream.

I had that happen a few weeks ago and when I woke up, I couldn't stop crying and really wished I could have kept dreaming instead of waking up.

Last night I was thrust into a terrifying nightmare.

I dreamt that we learnt in school that vampires were actually real. They even had me kill one as a practice. I remember being afraid, but I did it. I was telling a friend this, and he didn't really seem to care, oddly. I remember dreading going to sleep, knowing that vampires were real. I remember wondering also if any vampires were good, thinking that perhaps they were only evil because of anger at their fate and condition.

Then, a man that works for me sometimes apparantly had a brother, and this brother was a vampire. This vampire looked exactly like his human brother, except for his sideburns, which hung down to his waist.

I vaguely remember fleeing or chasing through a city on foot, but I have no idea as to where that fit in.

This vampire proceeded to capture a great number of people, and was holding them against their wills in the shells of very aged cars. These cars were really only the body of the car, and we were suspended by ropes or similar, not touching the shells. He has stacked these car-shells into a massive, hollow dome shape, and we could see each other and the ground below us.

We watched him helplessly as he talked to people that weren't captured, and I remember throwing a heavy iron bar at him and watching as it missed entirely. He looked at me, and I could see the whites of his eyes. Then he smiled. Not an evil smile, more friendly, but it seemed to me that as soon as the people he was talking to left, I would be punished. I don't remember anything after that.

The entire time, I was terrified, and not reasonless. What does it mean?
