Is anyone watching the Today show?

for Katie Couric's last day? They are dedicating the three hour show to highlighting her 15 years. It is so sad
My mom kept the Today show on every morning, so I watched it from the time I was 11. I still watch it each morning before work. I really admire her and think she is an amazing woman.

I really like Katie Couric too. But now she will be in prime time and I will be able to watch her!! I don't get to see the Today show much unless its a holiday or a sick day! I think its great she will be the anchor for the evening news! Go Katie Go!!

I watched a little before I had to leave for work - I've watched the show since she started - I hate going to work with weepy eyes!!!

I didn't get to watch it, but I LOVE Katie Couric - hopefully I can watch her more now that she's on prime time!

I DVR'd it, and so far I've watched about 1/2 and will watch the rest tonight. Quite a few teary moments.

I don't think we will get to enjoy her funny/quirky side on the evening news.

I just don't think it will be the same without her,I had tears in my eyes this morning. It's funny how we just get so used to someone. I was wondering why they didn't give that job to Ann Curry she's been there a long time and she does alot of different things on the show. I don't care for that gal that's getting the job

I just remember the big controversy when they gave her the job! I can't remember who it was that left, but I think Jane Pauley left, then deborah Norville went on Maternity leave, and instead of having her back they hired Katie, who was her mat leave replacement, who herself was going on mat leave soon... I think! I've watched it a bit lately.. saw part of the show this morning. I thought the impromtu interview with George HW Bush was pretty funny w/ Barbara checking her watch... She was a bit hyper there!

I would have liked Ann Curry taking over for Katie also. At least it would have been someone we are used to seeing on the show.

I used to like her, but she aggravated me no end when she asked a family whose daughter had been killed; "How does that make you feel? You must feel awful"

If a VERY HIGHLY paid professional has to ask that type question, than they have no business being employed. Smacks of ambulance chasing tabloid journalism, which I abhor
