So, I went swimsuit shopping today...

Um, is it just me, or is swimsuit shopping day the WORST day ever?!

I felt so depressed leaving the store after trying on 6 bathing suits and none fit right. I have a pear shaped body and its so hard to find nice bottoms to fit me right..I am soooooooooo sad

Anyone else dread bathing suit season?

You mean you can buy bathing suits? I thought they were just a t-shirt and my husband's boxers

I dread shopping for them!

Oh it's awful! It's been awful since about the 8th grade. Now I just pray the one I wear approximately once a year still fits. I didn't even put my bathing suit on when when we went on our cruise in February!

Ugh, I was just thinking this same thing today - I have to go buy a new one, and I am DREADING it!

I don't think I look that bad, until I get to the beach and there are girls that are a size 1, then I feel like a beached whale!

I hear ya, same thing here Geez, who is a size 1 anyway??

Wonder if you'd want to check out one of the stores that sells the top and bottom separately? This way, it would be sort of like shopping for undies?

Yah I should try that..It just sucks that I can't just get one of those cute matching swimsuits.. I have to get a bigger bottom and a smaller top...boo.

MY top and bottom don't match: 16-18 top and 12-14 bottom.

I bought a cheetah-print tankini but, the bottom was cut so high, around the legs, that I would have had to shave all the way to my belly button. Target had some boy-cut bottoms. I bought a solid black one and it looks great with my cheetah-print top.

I bought two swimsuits 3 years ago. They still fit....good enough for me anyway. They are pilled(is that the word?) & faded. One is pink floral & is a normal bottom w/ a longer top. The other is boy shorts with a longer top.

Is it just me, or do swimsuit tops show too much(scoop too low)? Most of them are impossible to swim in, so who buys them?!?!

TARGET!! They have a tonnnn of great suits...I usually have a super hard time finding a good one, and I found 2 great ones at Target. Lots of mix and match/separates... Spent $40 on each suit but WELL worth the minimal stress.

Well I'm 5'2" and a size 2, but let me tell you it's no picnic. Can we say cellulite? UHHHH!!!!! I have the worse genetics ever!! My legs look horrible!!

I did get a suit at a store that sells the tops and bottoms seprately a few years back. They sell the same pattern in tops and bottoms so it did match, I was just able to get something that fit. Now thoes don't even help anymore!

I have not owned a bathing suit in 25 yrs, So shopping for one is out I am to thin and I would look like crap in one, I hate the water anyway, my daughter and son-in-law have a sail boat I haven't even seen it yet I don't want to go on it. I have alway's been afraid of the water, and I can't swim...

I have had a hard time shopping too, luckly here they sell tops and bottoms seperately but the same colour or pattern.
I just bought new bikinis last week.

I think my legs are fat and cellulity, but you really have to accept your self, for who you are.
Are you going swimming for other people? No! go for you! Think about your self!
Why should other girls/women make you ashamed, we all have the same sort of stuffing anyway

and just think of those size 1 girls, do you honestly think they are beautiful for being small? They are probably jealous that you have more on your body and beautiful curves and natural boobs

No pics!! Argh...it's bad enough just looking in the mirror alone in the fitting room!

I haven't shopped for a bathing suit in years! I have no desire to go into a fitting room with flourescent lighting to see my mom's thighs looking back at me . Usually I buy a bunch of separates from a catalog try them on at home and send back what doesn't fit.

I was thinking the same thing and I'm glad someone else feels the same
If I'm going swim suit shopping that means I'm going on holiday! Which means no work and lots of sunshine! I don't worry about my body on the beach. Although you notice the slim girls, you'll also notice the enormous ones wearing very ill fitting swim wear...
