I was wondering if it is safe to use the lime sulfur for gardening. Its a 29% solution without the oil. It's only $30 compared to the lymdyp at $90 a gallon. We've already lost a $1000 to this battle and 5months time. We have four cats so we'll need atleast a gallon.

I don't think so. The sulferdip is supposed to be diluted as it is, your vet should be able to get it for you in a smaller bottle [rather than a gallon]. If your vet can't get it for you, if you can send me money [paypal or otherwise] with shipping cost included I can get you bottle of it, and it shouldn't be that expensive. You could probably buy a couple of bottles and still spend less than $90.

I also found these websites that carry the 16oz bottles, so you could get it there too.

The thing is, you don't have to use a whole lot to dip them in it, and you probably really only need to do one full dip, and then the rest of the time just put it on the ringworm spots. The stuff smells horrible, and it isn't very fun.

I would never chance using anything not labeled "for use on cats"- one inert ingredient gone wrong could prove catastrophic.
