IMO, the only completely credible place to get any meds (human or animal) is through a doctor (vet or human doctor). There are a lot of scams going on the internet (Toronto Better Business Bureau just recently had an interview on our local news regarding internet drugs). Apparently when ordering on-line you often get placebos (fake pills). The only way to know you are getting genuine drugs is to buy from reliable sources like vets and doctors (via prescription in human cases usually).

I can't tell you how much money I've spent on over-the-counter flea remedies (before I was educated here and found out how deadly some of them can actually be) for carpeting, flea shampoos, sprays, etc. They just don't work.

As I said above, IMO it's best to gets meds from your vet. I do however understand that some folks here with larger numbers of cats buy in larger quantities from sources they have found to be reliable and are knowledgeable enough to know how much (correct dosage) to give. Having multiple cats can get expensive I'm sure. The website you mentioned sounds like it is reliable since I am assuming they are the manufacturer of the meds and have a reputation to maintain. Hopefully several of those folks who have been successful in obtaining their meds from reliable sources other than a vet will jump in here and give this OP some credible information.

Well, Drs Foster and Smith requires a prescription except for the flea meds, and I think it works like contact lens places online- your vet faxes the prescription to them, your vet calls them, or you mail the actual prescription to the company. They are not the manufacturer but they are a real pharmacy that operates like a regular pharmacy except that they're online. And they are a liscensed pharmacy in the US, which is important. Even if the online pharmacy you find says its liscensed, check what country its in, because it could be liscensed in some country you've never heard of that doesn't really regulate anything.

Anywhere that allows you to order without a prescription is not trustworthy.

It would be better to get it from your vet, but if you have to order them online then I like the site Jen mentioned.

I use Revolution for Sukiey too. Cost is a concern for me as well - though I can deal with it. A co-worker of mine recommended the following site:

http://www.equine-mega-store.com

It's in Australia - but she has personally done business with them and says they're okay. She has 5 dogs and a cat.

Still - I'm unsure about buying from them - I will have to buy at least one more Revolution from the Vet due to time constraints, even if I choose to buy online from this company.
