she's curled up in a ball, I put some karo syrup in her mouth a tiny bit with a q tip...shes on a water bottle....An hour or so ago I found her under momma....
Dont know if it was on accident or not.......maybe she was just trying to warm her? Dont know what to do ...does anyone know whats wrong or what to do?Thanks!

Yes, emergency vet would be best. I would attempt to persuade the vet to do a housecall, rather than having to bring the kitten in, or the whole litter + momma.

Please call immediately! Good luck!

There are vets in California that make house calls, meaning, they will come and treat your animals in your home, rather than in their office.

Where do you live in California?

Im calling our emergency vet associated with our reg. vet...(calling on cell)
Ringing and ringing....I have to say I was envious when momof3rr was saying how her vet kept checking in with her...my vets office has not been helpfull at all.....even with her being so sick...Istarted another round of antibiotics which they could only fill half of..it took them a week to get me the rest of the perscription..leaving her unprotected FOR THREE DAYS>..this was just the other day...I nagged every single day to get it.....they dont like me any more..regardless their not open and the emergency vet is not answering..should I just go there?

I'd call around and see if I could find one that answers...no reason to take this kitten out when the office is closed.

I wouldn't just go...they may not answer the doors if you haven't called ahead of time.

Is it this place you're calling?

I just got an answer on the first ring .....maybe I dialed the wrong number....
they offered no advice but said I could bring her in.....its 90.00 though...
I have just spent 400.00 on Patches because of her uri.....its 90.00 just for the office visit and will give me an estimate for treatment! I am fully aware I could bring her there and she may die anyhow..... I think I will have to try to warm her first and see if that will help.....I will take her if I cant get any improvement....but I probably shouldnt without trying alternatives first.....I hope you guys dont think I am cold....her litter had 8 and I know it can be common to lose one in the first day or so but there may not even be that much they can do for that 90.00......I do love her though....this is so hard.......

I agree....I spend way to much money there to accept that kind of treatment..they even told me a couple times "it may be here...but we dont have time to go look...I almost threatened them! I spent three nights up all night with her icing her down with 105,6 fever... missed my mothers day vacation.spent 400.00..now they are to busy to look!

Phew!!! Please tell us what they would like you to do, when you have a moment.

And Newfostermom, I really wish you all the luck in the world...a kitten this young (who has already proven to be weaker than his/her siblings) who is starting to go downhill can be saved depending on what is wrong...but please, please, please be prepared to lose this one, if no one is able to help. And please, please, please, don't beat yourself up about it...sometimes kittens die unexplainably, and it will not be your fault if this happens. All I am saying, is prepare for the worst, and if the worst doesn't happen, you will be very relieved.

I am wondering about the 2 nipples that have not been working...mastitis maybe? I just don't have any answers for you, but your vet might. Don't be surprised if he/she needs to see Patches, and the other kittens as well.

If you have a syringe or eye dropper, brew regular coffe, let it get tepid, give her just a few drops, not a lot, place it on her tongue and see if that revives her. Massage her throat gently to get her to swallow the drops, but don't give her alot, maybe 1/3 of a small eyedropper full if that, in drips only, over the period of 5 minutes.
