I dont know if you guys remember but about a month or so ago, there was a Mom cat and her 5 babies that were dropped off at the animal hospital I work at. I had taken them home for an evening but i was nervouse Mom was sick and I didnt want my Momma getting a URI, so a co worker took mom and babies.
Well the babies are about 4-5 weeks now, very cute. My co worker brought them back to the hospital cause mom had a URI but is all better, and a couple of the babies had runny eyes.
I guess the kittens started eating kitten food and my co worker found people who wanted them, so she called the pound and had them pick up the mom and take her away!!!
I was so mad when i found out about this. The babies still need their Mom, and I cant believe they just had her hauled off to the pound. She could have easily been placed in a home or we even have a cat rescue lady we work with, she could have taken her!
What makes me even madder, is that this girl works at a vet hospital, she should know better!Babies still neeed to be with their mom.
I would love to go bail her out, but i have too many cats and 7 babies. I just cant keep her here. Im gonna check the pound website today to see if she has been adopted. If she is still there I will contact the rescue lady we work with and hopefully she can take her.
