PetPlan Insurance?

Has anyone ever used Petplan insurance? I want to sign my cat up for it asap but wanted some feedback on it.

I'm with petplan - the premiums were slightly higher than some others I got quotes for but it covers more (dental treatment, for example). I've made 2 claims so far - one for Magpie when he died last year totalling £1300 and one for Jaffa's recent dental treatment. They paid out no problem.

Do your preimums go up each time you make a claim? I got an online quote of 40/month for the Champion Plan (which is what i want for my cat since I know he's gunna start costin me A LOT of money) But was curious if the preimums go up with each claim you make?..like car insurance

The premiums don't go up when you claim but they will go up as your cat gets older (as does the excess). I think the plans are called something different over here (we have Budget, Cat and Supercat) - I have had Jaffa on the budget plan since he was a kitten - the premiums have almost doubled between then and now although I've not made a claim on his policy until recently (he'll be 9 in about a week). That's to be expected though - everywhere is going to charge me more for a 9 year old cat than for a kitten.
