Buddha and Habusaki are now 5 weeks and 2 days old. they are both starting to use the litter box more often with no probalem and ate some wet food for the first time today!
i am so proud!

They have figured out how to get out of the red room (the room they are kept in) and closing the door is not an option (no door
haha) and they have been climbing over the tub i put in front of it. soi put them in my room at night but they slip under the door. well i finally have the solution. i put a bulliton board on the outside of my door and a toy chest inf front of it to hold it & Kitty can go in and out. they arnt to fond of it because they think they are grown and can do what they please (i guess they inherited Kitty's attitude)

My questions are:
1) Buddha bites quite a bit while Habusaki never bites. how should i tell buddha that it is not OK to bite? he's just playing but i dont want him to turn violent.

2)is my Air conditioner going to bother them?

3) is it OK for them to make grunting noises while theyu poop? Habusaki does that but i havent seen Buddha poop in the litter box before.

4) it is pretty hot in Mid MO so closets aren't an option because they get really hot and all of our closets you have to practically swim through God knows what to get to the other side and all bathrooms are used quite a bit ( 4-5 people and only 2 bathrooms.) my room is the only "good" room. is it ok to let them just run around my room? i am careful not to step on them.

5) any tips on how to kitten-proof my room? i have all of the spots that are major hazards totally blocked off.

Ok..I'll try my best....for number 1...I did a search for biting and found this post...it may help you:

2. I don't think your air conditioner will bother them.

3. Some cats do make a noise when they go to the bathroom...however, if Habusaki seems to be straining or seems in pain when he is making that noise, you may want to call your vet.

4 and 5...yes, it is ok to let them run around your room...but first, get on your hands and knees and make sure there isn't anything that they can get into or under that they couldn't get out of. Also, make sure you don't have any poisonous plants in your room and make sure they can't get to any electrical wiring.

yeah he stops when i yell loud but my mom thinks i'm nuts. when i tap him on the nose or butt he thinks i'm playing and bite more! the yelling thing helps though.

If you notice a puppy or kitten will make a loud sound if the playing hurts... It makes them stop and soon they realise.. No one plays because I bit to hard...
