I am writting my first Spanish composition this weekend and I have a few questions...

If I'm trying to say "She is listening to music while I am writting this letter", is it ok to say "Ella esta escuchiando su musica mientras estoy escribiendo este carta."
Is "mientras" the right word here?

Also, how would I write "Every day, I leave for the university at 8am."?
So far, I have "Todos los dias, salgo ___ la universidad ___ ocho hora de la manana." What would I put before "la universidad" and before "ocho hora".

Last thing (for now) if I want to say that my bedroom is small, is "pequeno" the right word for small? (or is that only use for a small person?)

(sorry, I didn't know how to type in the accents)

This is hard.

I've only started learning Spanish a few weeks ago.

I wish I could help! I'm pretty sure you have the right word for small though, I think I know that much! I wish I knew other languages. I pretend I know some Spanish but it's more like Spanglish!

Well, I'll try but I know there are people who for real speak Spanish on the boards, so I'm afraid I'll embarrass myself.

"She is listening to music while I am writting this letter", is it ok to say "Ella esta escuchiando su musica mientras estoy escribiendo este carta."

Ella esta escuchando musica [mientras] estoy escribiendo este carta. As for the mientras, is while but I don't know for sure if it's right here.

So far, I have "Todos los dias, salgo ___ la universidad ___ ocho hora de la manana." What would I put before "la universidad" and before "ocho hora".

Todos los dias (I always learned diario for every day but maybe that's wrong too) salgo a la universidad a las ocho de la manana.

Last thing (for now) if I want to say that my bedroom is small, is "pequeno" the right word for small? (or is that only use for a small person?)

I would use chiquito, but I don't think pequeno is wrong either.

Hopefully someone fluent will be by soon!

Por and Para are the "For" words in spanish... but they both have different situations that you use each one in. In this case...

"Todos los dias, salgo ___ la universidad ___ ocho hora de la manana."

I would use para (for the goal or in the direction of...) and I belive you say times by using "a las".... (time). I also know dias for days.

"Todos los dias, salgo para la universidad a las ocho hora de la manana."

Sorry this is so late... hopefully it is still helpful!

Oy I'm so glad I don't have to learn Spanish! My friend taught me to say 'What are you looking at stupid!' the other day because I was at Walmart on the phone with her and this Mexican dude kept up and downing me. I mean sooo obviously! (no offense to any Mexicans (Rigel!)) And he was with a girl! Yuck!

Sorry to get off topic! Had to share! Hope your composition goes well!
