We adopted a 10 week old kitty today.
My daughter named him Fes (pronounced Fez) from That 70's Show.
Fes has been tested for Feline Leukemia and tested Negative. He is up to date on his vaccines and has been wormed. He is a ball of energy. Plays hard and sleeps hard. He's too cute!
He has set up camp in my daughters room with his new toys, new litter box, bowls of fresh water and kitty food, and a new kitty bed. I also took the door off of a cat crate and put a blanket inside just incase he wants to have a cave.
The Humane Society had him on Science Diet kitten food so he will be eating that until he's settled in and ready to slowly switch to something else.
He has met the other boys in the house (under close supervision) and they all get along fine. Shamie is a little afraid of him when he gets running around like a wild man playing with toys and hides under the couch. Then he starts to stalk him and runs out and stops about 2 feet from Fes. Fes just looks at him and continues playing. Skeeter our poodle has cleaned his entire head and face while Fes purrs loudly. Our old pug Gus has no interest in any of the other boys what so ever.
We have kitten proofed my daughters room and the rest of the house. I'm sure there will be things we forgot about that he will let us know about.
It's so exciting to have such an active little guy in the house. He is totally opposite of mellow Shamie.
Our house is complete with adding little Fes.
I will attach pictures in the photo section of the forum.
