Hi All
My cat Peachez has just given birth to 2 kittens, its her first (and last) litter, she gave birth to the 2nd kitten over an hour ago, she had not had any contractions since the birth of her last 1, and i'm not sure how many she will have, both kittens are fit and healthy and sucking away, she has taken to being a mother like a duck to water, what i want to know is whats the limit of time a cat can go between births? any info would be great and thanx in advance.

I'm not sure of the time, but I'm sure it is well over an hour! I will try to look it up and post back...there sure has been a lot of action on the preggers board today! Congrats on two healthy babies.

Anymore yet?

If she is not still pushing then it is ok to wait a while... sometimes they will even stop and have more the naxt day, but if she seems to be in any distress call the vet.

she had these 2 kittens within 15 min of each other............and far as i know she has not had anymore contractions, she has also been out and had a little something to eat and gone straight back into her babies, i'm thinking with this being her first litter she may have only been having the 2,
is 2 babies quite common for a first litter?

before she had the babies when i stroked her i could only feel 1 lump at either side, i estimated 2 but you can never be too sure, atm she is not giving me any cause for concern, she seems happy and contented enough

She could certainly only have 2 kittens. I would recommend moving her food and litterbox into the room where her kittens are so she doesn't have to leave them.

she is in the cupboard under the stairs, everything she needs is close at hand for her, she only needs to step out of the box and its right there for her

I can't find the info about how long cats can go between delivering kittens. Does Peachez seem calm and relaxed? Maybe she is just having the two.
