Skittles had babies....

They love to watch me weight them and change the bedding because Skittles seems to think I am safe with her babies... I never let the boys touch just watch as I work.. They are so happy.. They are helping me keep track of them... There is 2 gray and today I noticed the red on the face of #7 looks calico....

Skittles had one that looks like Patches and Patches had one that looks like Skittles!! I think they are soul sisters!

My husband has promised me to help me post pics of Patches and her babies tommorow..I'm no good at that but I will post a pic of Patches, and a pic of our baby who looks like Skittles, as well as the rest of the gang! The one who looks like Skittles is Whit with dark grey spots..she has mor grey on her face than patches but...similar! Of course she's named already! Can you guess?

HMMMM Skittles

You will have to show me... WHen I went to weigh them today I am really starting to see there colors and there is red in them.. I have like 2 that have got my heart because of the coloring... #1 is black and white...I thought they all looked alike till she cleaned them all up... nI do have a gray fuzz ball so am thinking I was correct the gray cat is the dad of them all... He was the only gray cat otheres where orange white all where white and red or white and tan or white gray... Only gray was her frind that she was on the lawn with and still hangs under my house..

ok ..Ill be sure to get them posted tommorow! What do you do about a momma who sits on her kittens....gone in there a couple of times with them screaming and momma sitting right on top of the....scared they'll get squished.she's not doing that on purpose is she? She probly thinks hmmmmto many kittens ....not enough nipples... ok thats my vivid imagination getting away with me.....

I am not sure.. Skittle is at there every beck and call.. She sat once and the baby called she lifted so fast. She now I noticed scoots then in a ball and hen she lays down really soft.

Ive read too many scary stories on here about mamma cats killing kittenss......I gotta relax......anyhow....signing off for now... see you guys...thanks for all the advice too.....have fun with your babies..I'll check in later....

Well almost 8 pm and the first 24 hours are over and I can breath a sign YA I read the first 24/36 hours are critical... Only 12 more to go before I really breath better. So far efverything is going great.. When I go to change bedding I will get the night came out and snap a few... I hope you will be able to see some of th red on there faces...Way cute...

i am so glad everything is going well Jenny. sounds like Skittles is being a good mom. the kittens sound beautiful! i wish i could have one but mom says 2 is enough . i cant wait to see more pictures!

I just took a few... It is so hard to tell of them apart because they are so much alike..... It is the 2 there I thought had the same placenta they came so fast.. I never saw it....

Congrats on Skittles kittens! ...How many did she end up having? I was looking through the other post, and I think that there were 12 kittens, but some died? I'm sorry about the ones that died, but I'm happy that Skittles is ok, and that most(?) of the kittens were ok too

She had 13 but only 7 lived.. SHe and babies are great she likes to be spoiled so am trying to let her know she means more then the babies... She is so happy...

Congratulations Skittles and Skittles' mom! I can't believe Skittles had such a large litter. 13? That's the largest cat litter I've ever heard of! I think the fact that 7 survived is testament to what a healthy cat Skittles is and what good care she is receiving from her mom!

Jenny----- didn't want to post on Pokeys thread but saw what you said about talking to me on IM and I wanted to say TY, your comment made my day. And i was sooooooooooo glad to be there from start to finish. (well almost finish since no one was here for #13. LOL).

I am actually wondering if 13 was born when 12 was... Remember I said she was having contractions still but her butt was to the wall it was the wall I found her at under the blankets... I think she did have it then..Because Skittles was so clean this morning...All the kittens where clean and nursing so I did not want to bother morning the bedding till this morning.. It was so dark in the closet I actually think I missed the little one... It was the smallest out of all of them... I feel bad but I know I did what I could... I am sure 13 was born yesturday... I had to go potty and I thought she was done... My mom said there was 8 I only saw 7 but I was so tired after it all I can not recall but the more I think about it I am sure... o Also I did give her a clean white towel last night to lay on to monitor blood and there was nothing on it at all nothing.... I can not change it but I can hope for the others to have a healthy start and life...
