Ok, Jada has been getting quite rough with her babies lately. Not all the time but occassionally when the babies are really active and playing, biting and wrestling Jada will grab one and pin it down and bite and bunny kick it pretty hard! Is that safe? Should I make her stop or let it go? It scares me when she does it. A few minutes ago I thought she broke Little Jada's neck because she flipped her and then bunny kicked and I couldn'st see the baby's face. It was bent backwards. She only does this for a quick moment and then starts grooming the baby and the baby will squirm away and play with siblings again.

Should I be concerened?

I think your babies are real close to my babies in age. Mine are 4 wks now. I also have noticed Kassie play rough with her, but not quite the bunny kicking that you mentioned. I'm sure it is normal play, but I still end up reaching in and petting or something so to stop it.

It's the bunny kicking that scares me cuz I'm scared she's gonna scratch their bellies. Ugh.

She could very well be disciplining likeyou said, missymotous, because I just watched one of the boys walk up to Jada and claw her face and bite her ear. She jumped up and pinned him down by the throat for a bit. She didn't bunny kick this time.

I guess I could try distracting by petting her when she does it but I can't keep my eye on them 24/7. I'll just have to assume it's natural and normal.

It is perfectly normal. Leave them alone when she does it. She is teaching them what is and is not appropriate behavior. She would not intentionally harm them.

Good to hear it's probably normal. It's hard to watch though so I'll just have to turn my back from now on.

Just like when you disapline your kids or see someone do it to there. Whether a spanking, talking to, or time out you always feel bad the child is getting in trouble. That is what happens with the kitties.
