First Time Cat Owner

Hi All,

I just got a retired Birman cat from a breeder. Everything is new to me, but Iam getting alot of information from this site. She is 5yrs. old female, & she is perfect, except for her sleeping habits. But, I am going to try some of the hints I found on behavioral forum. I have never had a cat before, always dogs, so this is really exciting to me. We are a retired couple & my husband has amazed me, he gets up at night with the cat. Who would have believed?
