Typically the first shot is given around 6 weeks of age...but contact your vet to verify the exact age they give the first shot.

We give our kittens their first shots at 8 weeks, 2nd set at 10 weeks and the final set at 12 weeks. We believe they do not need shots until 8 weeks because if the mom is healthy, they recieved her antibodies and they should last until the kitten is 8 weeks old.
