7 years ago my answers would've been drenched with passion, but comparing then and now, I am not ssssooo into music now. I really like Liz Phair's style and voice. Her best songs: Supernova and Go West

Old favorites:
Sinead O'Connor - Jump in the River, I Want Your Hands
New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
The Smiths - Sweet & Tender Hooligan, A Rush and a Push
The Pet Shop Boys - In The Night, This Must be the Place I Waited Years to Leave
Eurythmics - Would I Lie to You?
Falco - The Sound of Muzik
Kim Wilde - Kids in America

I'm kinda stuck in the 80's - can ya tell??

"New" and appealing stimuli for me:
Delerium and DJ Tiesto

Bren, I so know what you mean!! He just has "it" I don't know what the hec it is.... but he's got LOADS of it!!! I mean you don't look at him and think "OMG he's drop dead gorgeous" but you DO think "Oh baby!!!!!" (bad Rhea....)

The Levellers are and oldish band, but they are fantastic, I have seem them in concert three times, and they are the best three concerts I've ever been to. To be honest if I try to describe their music, you'll probably think its crappy..... but its not!! They're a kinda rock/folk/irish band, they have this amazing fiddle player with loooong dreadlocks who just goes mental - seriously you never thought it could sound like that!! If you can download music - give them a listen, they are amazing!! The songs all have good meaning to them, yet are kinda happy and make you wanna leap around playing air guitar!??!?! (I know I know.... with a fiddle!?!!??!?! ) Trust me, you need to hear them....

And c1atsite!! OMG!! I used to always do kareoke to the Eurythmics - Would I lie to you..... oh the shame!!! (I SUCKED)

Oh yeah, every so often I STILL dig out my Journey, Kansas and Genesis CD's...and then there's Tori Amos and the late Michael Hedges...

OH, so THIS is where you're lurking!

I get it now!

Oh well, off to tend the gardens...perhaps one day you'll return.

Older era Genesis, BTW...nothing newer than "Duke" tickles my fancy. "Wind and Wuthering" (the Genesis album, not your classic lit) is a big favorite.

Hey everyone,
I found this old threat and I thought maybe we could revisit it for those of us who weren't around TCS in 2002

Pop- (I may get harrassed for this one) Celine Doin, Clay Aiken, Christina Aguilera (all enormously talented singers), Wham, Peter Gabriel, Genesis
Country- Garth Brooks, Dixie Chicks, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire Keith Urban
Rap/Hip Hop/R&B/Jazz- Toni Braxton, 50 Cent, Eminem, Jay-Z, Kenny G, Dave Koz, Harry Connick Jr.
Rock/Jam (favorite music of all)- John Mayer, AC/DC, Barenaked Ladies, Nickelback, Hootie and the Blowfish (ducking the tomatos), Allman Brothers, Green Day, Widespread Panic, Maroon 5, Van Morrison, Bob Marley, Tom Petty, Heart, Coldplay, and, the band to end all bands....the Dave Matthews Band
Gotta stop...that list could go on and on!

My favorite band of all time is, and will always be Kiss. I also like Great White, Metallica, Poison, Cinderella, ect ect. It's pretty obvious I'm an 80's Hair band fan.

I'm stuck in the 80s and early 90s. I routinely used to go to clubs for 80s nights or goth night. I did buy two albums recently that were released in the last year, The Killers and Interpol.

But my favorites...The Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division, New Order.
My favorite songs are Alice, My Beloved (VNV Nation), She's Lost Control

I have a deep deep love for songs from the 80s like, Obsession by Animotion and Safety Dance. Stuff like that.

I like mostly rock -- Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Beatles, Yardbirds, Rolling Stones, Johnny Winter, Bob Dylan, Cream, Allman Brothers, John Lee Hooker, Pink Floyd, Muddy Waters and so many more...

I also like metal -- Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, In Flames, Children of Bodom, Pantera

And I have quite a few "guilty pleasures" -- Journey, Duran Duran, Phil Collins, and some more 80s music.

I love going to concerts.. can't wait until April when I'm going to see Ratdog (Bob Weir's band -- he's in the Dead) and I really can't wait until summer when all the concerts come around!
