My mom's Corgi Solomon (Solly) met my two kitties yesterday, and he was not well received. He honestly just wants to make friends, but I think Samuel swiped him in the eye.

Now he's walking around holding his eye closed and rubbing at it every now and then. He won't let me open it up to see how bad the scratch is. How will I know if its bad enough to take him to the vet?

If it is still bothering him, I would take him to the vet. He has only got the two eyes.

If he's still doing it today- take him asap.If he won't let you near it, then it is probably painful-I'd go ahead and try to get him in today-I get soo scared with anything involving the eyes. I hope it's nothing major. Please update

I got a look at it, he's a little better. He can open the eye and its not very red anymore.

However, its a pretty significant scratch, so I think we'll take him in. Poor guy.

nope, she just cleaned it out with saline.

it was pretty amazing though. I could see the scratch on the surface of his eye. Today its isn't even red and he's no longer rubbing at it. Hopefully he learned his lesson.
