Hello! I'm possibly the newest cat on the block - I just signed up minutes ago.

I like to be called PJ but my name is Peggy. I own a cat by the name of Sukiey Greysean. She's a calico and I think very beautiful. I enjoy living with her.

I work in IT and presently I'm working night shift, so Sukiey's "home alone" tonight - I'm not sure she likes that or not.

I adopted Sukiey on March 11 of this year - she was a "troubled" cat and was living as a foster cat with a friend of mine. Chris was having problems with keeping Sukiey and the other cats she already owns. She was going to have to do something - like take Sukiey to a shelter, so when I found out the situation, at first I declined, but then realized God was saying to me that I should take her. I did - it's more like she chose me than I chose her, but we're very happy together.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I'm looking forward to making some friends on here.

Sukiey is a really sweet and loving cat, she's just the type of cat that needs to have a one-on-one relationship with her owner. That is - be the only animal in the household.

Unfortunately, Sukiey's original owner abused her; she wasn't even supposed to have a cat - or any animals for that matter - where she lived. The management found out about her and sent some guys in to catch her and when they did, they literally tossed her out - then and there. The girl recovered Sukiey and brought her to my friend Chris to foster until she could find another place to live that accepted animals.

Well...she never did find another place to live and take Sukiey back. Instead - she wound up in jail and according to Chris, she's going to be there for a while (as in years). Well - as I noted about her ownership needs, Chris began having behavioral issues with Sukiey because she owns several other cats.

It finally came down to Chris having to either take her to a shelter or...and I don't think I have to say what. Chris saw that Sukiey seemed to take to me - there was only one other person besides herself that Sukiey had reacted like that to (he has since passed on). She asked me if I'd like to have the cat and at first I said no - because I have a waterbed. I was afraid that she might puncture it.

But, I kept having a feeling about the cat that wouldn't go away. So, I realized God was telling me that I was supposed to take Sukiey and I let Chris know that I had changed my mind. We made the arrangements for Sukiey to come and live with me - got all the necessary stuff.

Since she's been living with me, she has adjusted quite well and she knows that she has nothing to fear in the way of abuse - I treat her with nothing but love and affection. I do everything I can for her - I've been told that I papmper her.

Meow,

PJ
