Trout loves watching us clean her litter.. I think she likes to rub it in that I am cleaning her waste for her. I feel like she is secretly laughing at me...she can't miss it when I clean the box..she runs right over all excited to watch.

Anyone elses kits do this?

well, I know that Sherbert often comes to 'inspect' it, thinking 'you'd better do it good!' lol!
Of course, after I'm home for about 30 minutes, I clean it, and then he goes again! lol!

Serenity is incredibly helpful with cleaning her litter box. When I go to scoop, she jumps in and starts rolling around. I have to hold her with my left hand while scooping with the right. She's done this since she was tiny, silly girl!

Our two sit and wait for us to finish, and one by one (sometimes they try to BOTH go in) go in afterward and pee like they've been holding it all day!! Even if we'd seen them go just a few minutes before...they always pee for a while after we clean the box. Almost makes me wonder if they have a special pee reserve for after the litterbox is clean...LOL!!

This is exactly what Twitch does!
Of course, as soon as I am done scoeping, they both have to use it....

Last weekend when I did the two boxes in the bathroom, Ellie watched me as usual, jumped in the first one to do her stuff, then watched while I did the second one and immediately used that one too! Where does it all come from? But they do like to mark the boxes as soon as they are clean, especially the alpha cats.

I usually get a queue of three all wanting to inspect and have a go!

Jenny, I know what you mean - they always seem to have something left for the next tray on the rounds!

My girls both go to the litter tray soon as i have done it and do the biggest movements that they can muster and then look at me with almost grins of their faces !!!

My babies do that as well. When Petunia feels that it needs to be cleaned and Im not moving fast enough she will sneak up behind me and throw some litter on my pant leg as if to say "Hurry it Up Will Ya??"

Ginger has a thing about pooping right under my nose when I'm in the middle of cleaning it out. I have to sit back and hold my breath until she's done, then I can finish emptying it out. Always a poop, never a pee, and always when I'm trying to clean it out. I swear she holds it on purpose!

When I put the new litter in, she's very helpful - she sits and waits for me to pour some in, then she spreads it around for me with her paw.

in a pile of open toed shoes!
I swear I had to only crazy cat! If I even touch the cover of the litter box she is right there, nose in everything to see what I'm doing. I have to keep pushing her away cause I can't lift the box with her 1/2 way in it. And as I'm pouring the new litter she is practically right under the litter container taking a poop, the litter is almost pouring right on her head....and I swear she's smiling! Then I scoop.... she's right back in there....squeeeeeeezing a little more out for Mommy! It's really quite comical thinking about it now
...but while I'm doing it
....not so funny.

Mika watches while I clean the litter - Bijou on the other hand has to get in the box while I'm trying to clean it. As soon as I take the lid off and start scooping, he comes, gets in, gets a place all cleared out and does #1 and sometimes #2 while I sit patiently waiting for him to finish. Then he swishes his tail and leave as if to say, "you want something to clean - clean that"!
