Trout loves watching us clean her litter.. I think she likes to rub it in that I am cleaning her waste for her. I feel like she is secretly laughing at me...she can't miss it when I clean the box..she runs right over all excited to watch.

Anyone elses kits do this?

well, I know that Sherbert often comes to 'inspect' it, thinking 'you'd better do it good!' lol! Of course, after I'm home for about 30 minutes, I clean it, and then he goes again! lol!

Serenity is incredibly helpful with cleaning her litter box. When I go to scoop, she jumps in and starts rolling around. I have to hold her with my left hand while scooping with the right. She's done this since she was tiny, silly girl!

Mooch runs to the box every time it cleans itself (we have a littermaid thingy). But she's there when DH empties it too!
Our two sit and wait for us to finish, and one by one (sometimes they try to BOTH go in) go in afterward and pee like they've been holding it all day!! Even if we'd seen them go just a few minutes before...they always pee for a while after we clean the box. Almost makes me wonder if they have a special pee reserve for after the litterbox is clean...LOL!!

This is exactly what Twitch does! Of course, as soon as I am done scoeping, they both have to use it....

Last weekend when I did the two boxes in the bathroom, Ellie watched me as usual, jumped in the first one to do her stuff, then watched while I did the second one and immediately used that one too! Where does it all come from? But they do like to mark the boxes as soon as they are clean, especially the alpha cats.

Sophie normally comes running over and stands watching me until i've finished, then jumps straight on to tinkle

I usually get a queue of three all wanting to inspect and have a go!

Jenny, I know what you mean - they always seem to have something left for the next tray on the rounds!

My girls both go to the litter tray soon as i have done it and do the biggest movements that they can muster and then look at me with almost grins of their faces !!!

Phenom could care less now but when she was a little younger she would go in the box whioe I was cleaning it. I would have to stop and move so she could potty and the let that clump properly and finish cleaning het potty!! Silly girl!!

Prue does the same thing. has to " inspect" me as i clean it, then once i return the box to her fave place, she will go in and clean it again!,lol.

My babies do that as well. When Petunia feels that it needs to be cleaned and Im not moving fast enough she will sneak up behind me and throw some litter on my pant leg as if to say "Hurry it Up Will Ya??"

All these kitties are so silly!

Ginger has a thing about pooping right under my nose when I'm in the middle of cleaning it out. I have to sit back and hold my breath until she's done, then I can finish emptying it out. Always a poop, never a pee, and always when I'm trying to clean it out. I swear she holds it on purpose!

When I put the new litter in, she's very helpful - she sits and waits for me to pour some in, then she spreads it around for me with her paw.

I swear I had to only crazy cat! If I even touch the cover of the litter box she is right there, nose in everything to see what I'm doing. I have to keep pushing her away cause I can't lift the box with her 1/2 way in it. And as I'm pouring the new litter she is practically right under the litter container taking a poop, the litter is almost pouring right on her head....and I swear she's smiling! Then I scoop.... she's right back in there....squeeeeeeezing a little more out for Mommy! It's really quite comical thinking about it now ...but while I'm doing it....not so funny.

Mine always decide to use the box after I just get done cleaning it.

Skittles does then gets in and makes a mess

Hey if i'm not fast enough Duke will push me out of the way to do his business

Mika watches while I clean the litter - Bijou on the other hand has to get in the box while I'm trying to clean it. As soon as I take the lid off and start scooping, he comes, gets in, gets a place all cleared out and does #1 and sometimes #2 while I sit patiently waiting for him to finish. Then he swishes his tail and leave as if to say, "you want something to clean - clean that"!

I usually clean out Oliver's pottybox after I get up and sometime shortly before I go to bed... it's a covered box, so I'll get down and pop off the top and sometimes, Ollie will run over, jump in, and take a pee as if he's saying "hold on a minute, mama! I have to goooooo!" haha, I could just picture him crossing his little legs and doing the peepee dance if he had to wait.... BUT more often than not, after I do the pre-bedtime scoop, Oliver will decide he's going to lay the biggest and stinkiest of kitty poos, RIGHT AFTER I've crawled under the covers! When we're visiting my parents (which we have been since march... yar to my medical problems - but I'm almost better!), his pottybox is in my room across from my bed (only place for it to go), so I get hit with full strength poo-stink right as I'm trying to go to bed (he often pulls the same deal, only at like 5 or 6am and then proceeds to dig to the other side of the world in his litter box).... man, the things I do for this kitty cuz I love him! Potty training a la "Meet the Parents" looks more and more appealing every time I scoop - only if Oliver didn't find the potty an amusing occasional watering hole

After I dump and scrub the litterbox, Prego likes to christen it. :-)
Our alpha males do the samething. When we had our 2nd kitty years ago, Gus would wait until everyone was at the dinner table and leave a stinker that cleared the floor.
My baby Tyrone does this, no matter what he is doing if he knows I am in the room, there he is to watch. Then whenI am done in he goes, everytime.

My cats Phoebe, Eliza, and Gigi have to be in there when I clean the box... Gigi and Eliza have to be in the box... Phoebe just needs to watch. My big alpha male, Spike, waits until everyone has cleared out and then he has to go in it. I tried closing the door to the laundry room where the two boxes I clean are, and when I did my little girls went crazy. The five month olds were trying to squeeze under the door, and they were crying and banging on it, I felt so bad I had to let them in. It makes my job so much harder, but it makes them so happy. How can I say no to them?

Dallas is the same way...watches my clean it out, and right way is into it checking it out. Most of the time she uses it right away. Doesn't have much interest when I scoop though. Only have the full change.

As a matter of fact, I just cleaned the litter box with my little helper! The baby always gets in while I am cleaning so that he can pee and then watches me while I finish cleaning. Petunia used to watch me clean the box, but now she is a little more aloof since I brought the baby home. Cats are so funny!!
