question... is there a rule against selling something on here. not like a store, just something i plan on putting on ebay and giving you guys first dibs on?

You might like to check out the Members Market Place - there should be some rules there as to what you can and cannot post, plus it will be reviewed before your post will be seen by the members!
I have just checked the Members Market Place Rules and I'm afraid you won't be able to sell or advertise on TCS for quite some time yet!
