Maybe for a few months when they are out of pen I'll keep all the boxes filled with clay. also Katie since your on the scene whats the youngest you've seen a female get pregnant and a boy cat be able to get a cat pregnant-I read 3 months once-my biggest fear is the only boy will get one of the 5 pregnant...Have to call vet and ask when they can take the mom and boy-girls I will get done the 2nd tiem around. tia RJ
4 months is the youngest I've seen for a girl cat to get pregnant. Not too sure about a male's fertility, but to be on the safe side, I recommend getting the kittens done as early as your vet can. I had my male fixed at 5 months and my female fixed at 6 months. The rescue I volunteer with fixes kittens at 2 months so that we know they will never get pregnant.
