All the college students across the street moved out over the weekend, all three girls have gone. This was their cat. I've pet her before and felt her swollen tummy and her teats where swelled up. Anyways, they LEFT her!! I plan on trying to get her to come to me before she has her babies! dont need anymore ferals running around here, have enough of them. Any suggestions?

If you're unable or unwilling to care for her you'll have to search for your nearest animal shelter... Cats really arent that much hard work and can usually sort themselves out with a bit of a meal and a warm bed..

I hope you can find it in your heart to love her .. and find her kittens a good home .not until they're about 10 weeks old though. Kittens up for adoption in shelters usually don't have any trouble finding homes and here in Australia they give you the option of taking the kitten/s back if they dont find homes so you know that that they won't be put to sleep... (introduce them to kitten food @ around five weeks) then get her SPEYED! and keep her

Hopefully shes only young and wont have many babies. Good Luck

Aw that poor girl! If she belonged to someone it shouldn't be very hard to get her to come to you, she should be well-socialized already. Are you sure it was their cat and not a stray they were feeding?
If you can't get her to trust you easily, start off by feeding her on her territory, and then trap her.

It's so good that you care..but you are right to be careful. Can you lure her indoors with food?? I've heard that warm skinless KFC is a wonderful bait. Put little pieces of it on plates or if she is friendly, hold it out in your hand and take a few steps backwards as you feed her a piece. The goal is to get her indoors so she can have her babies safely. Once you get her inside..we will get you set up with the next steps.

at the moment I still have a tortie kitten that the neighbors kids threw in my play pen which is on my front porch. My vet wont spay her till about october. I have a 2 month old kitten, an 8 month old who gets neutered in july(my vet is booked solid, cause he is the only low cost vet in the area!!), then my neutered boy sylvester(11 mos). I'd definately get her spayed though and find her a home myself. Our local shelter is full of cats/kittens(its a no kill,so therefore they have no room).

I hope the little 2 month old is not allowed outdoors as cats can become pregnant as early as 4 months of age.

NOPE, I do not let my cats outside at all. Well on a leash maybe, but no other than that the 'poor' cats have to stay in the house. I'm still unsure if its a good idea to get my siamese neutered yet. He was sooo sick, still severly underweight. The tortie kitten is about the same age as my other kitten bear. I didnt want any female cats but she was thrown on my porch so now i have her, though i've tried to find her a home, no one wants to wait till i have her spayed. But oh well she isnt going anyplace unless she is spayed.

Jami....I'd also be concerned about having an intact female and intact male above the age of 4 months that are able to interact. I do think that you should keep the neuter appt.
