Box Of Memories

I was looking for some headphones today when I noticed an old shoe box. I had no idea what was in it so I decided to remove it from the shelf and take a look. Inside were all the old notes that I had written to friends from my freshman year. I was surprised to see that I still had them! There were also old photos of me from like halloween, Jr. High, and just some when I was around my brother and sister! I took a trip back into my past while looking at all the old drawings I drew, reading up on all the boys I used to have huge crushes on. I was also surprised to remember how such good friends I was with this one girl that I now hate. It was a very touching moment for me, as I put all my memories back into the box where they will remain.

I am really sad, when I was a teeneger and going through a rebellious stage, I threw out all my old memorablilia. Now I completely regret it. What I wouldn't give to be able to sit down for a few hours with my old shoeboxes full of memories! I guess I'll have to make new ones!

That's awesome! I did the same thing as Shannon, I had a big tin of notes and stuff that my high school boyfirend and I wrote back and forth to each other, wish I had it now, just to remember the good times

I have all the notes and letter Lee and I have written to each other. I have a rose from every bouqeut, every card, every little thing he has given me. Its in a hat box I decorated. I go through it maybe 2 times a year.

I have boxes like that too, and every time I come across them it usually brings me to tears. Just something about remembering past friendships and remembering how things used to be when I lived near my close friends. I cannot go through my memories boxes without getting emotional. Sometimes I miss being younger too when everything is fun and there are no worries.

I will be moving soon and will have to go through the boxes...I don't really look forward to it, as I really wish things were the way they used to be sometimes.

My sisier disposed of all that kind of stuff I had. I had a box of t-shirts that I got from every concert I had been to in my teens and 20s, (about 50-60) and she sold them at a yard sale for a dollar a piece. I even had one from the Fox theater when Lynrd Skynrd recorded One More From The Road, and and a 1977 Led Zepplin tour shirt, neither had ever been worn. I still have a few pics, but that's it from that time in my life.

We got into a huge knock down drag out fight over it. It took 4 grown men to break it up.
