Oh hun, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. But, you know that she will be happy and healthy afterwards - you ARE doing the right thing.

Hugs to you!

Monica - what a hard decision you had to make there. We'll keep both you and Abby in our thoughts tomorrow. She will be just fine - but make sure to let us know how she's getting on

Hugs to you - I know it's tought

Ahhh you'll be fine, I had to do the same thing with sissy but she had just had babies when I trapped her and she didn't need more, she was just under a year old, and I kept her and 3 of the 5 baby girls and she's happy as a lark, and I am to just for having them... I know its hard but your doing her a favor not putting her through all that. Hugs and vibes to you

I agree. I am very "pro-kitten", as a foster home. I have rescued 4 preggers kitties in 2 years. But how I wish more people would make the difficult choice that you have made. There just are not enough homes for all the kittens in this world. If more people would be willing to spay even if their kitty is preggers, the numbers would drop, and we would have more homes for the kitties here.

And remember, sometimes things go wrong during labor and delivery, so you are saving your cat from that. You are doing the right thing for you and your cat, and I am proud of you for making the difficult decision.

Beckiboo said it perfectly. Something could go wrong during labor, & even if she was to have the kittens, would they find homes?

Good luck with the spay & try not to feel too guilty. You are doing the best thing for you, her, & the kittens...as sad as that may be.

Thanks hun! I know and I appreciate everyones support, but its still so hard to think that I am allowing them to *abort* the helpless creatures.....uggh! I do know it is for the better and who knows if she would of been able to have a normal delivery but I guess its just still bothersome........

Don't worry the surgery will go fine

You are doing the right thing. As posted before, what if she had a difficult delivery? She might lose them then as well. Your kitty will be happier and healthier once spayed, just keep that in mind. Don't worry about those precious babies they are still in the Lord's hands
he will take care of them.
