Your opening your garage door and you see something run in out of the corner of your eye .........you have to leave to go to work and your running late..........do you still go into your garage!?? If not, what do you do?

"You have no idea what it was that ran in....."
Nope! I shut the door and lock it back, get the boyfriend out of bed and grab the gun. Then go see what it was!!

I would crawl on top of my car, onto the roof, and then open the door from up there, and crawl into the car from the top - I wouldnt' risk getting bit by anything that would attack my legs! Yikes!

Is that physically possible Kenz????
Since fiance and I have been car pooling, I would sendhim back inside to check it out. I would be the one in charge of calling 911 from my cell (while inside the car) if anything happens
post #10 of 28
Ha! Kenz you and me both. I just go through the garage to get outside to my car. If Lee would clean out the garage so I could get my car IN there to start with that might be more feasable than getting Lee and the gun!! LOL

Yes, yes it is - I have accomplished this before

As long as I don't work third shift and its perfectly light outside then I will take the time to investigate what it is and get it out of there. My work will understand if I had to fight raccoons or rats or something .
Ehh knowing me, I'd go in the house, get a bowl of water and a bowl of food and put them in the garage, then get in the car, back out and close the garage door, and investigate when I get home.

I wouldn't mind facing ET, as long as it was daylight out. Once its night I've lost all nerve.

Eek! ET freaks me out, day or night!
If it moves, it's an animal of some sort
ET, human, insect, they're all animals.
It can eat and appreciate whatever food I've set out, or not, it's still locked in until I get home
post #19 of 28
Knowing me, I would question if I had seen it at all or if my mind was playing tricks on me. So I would just go about leaving and call hubby and see if he would go out there to check it out.
Haha, you guys gave some great answers If that happened to me, I would probably make DH go investigate it first....
I would go and get hubby and make him find out what it is, but I would leave the door open so it may leave if it wants to and is teethy and scarey!!
I'd go and grab my trusty broom (many more uses than just sweeping) and make lots of noise hoping to scare whoever or whatever it was.
I'd have to investigate or it'd drive me nuts during work. I'd just call work and tell them I'm running late and since I'm NEVER late, they'd understand, I'm sure.

Then I'd go back inside, get on heavy pants and shirt, and see what came to visit.

well our garage door is right by our shoe pile..so I'd probably be the idiot who starts throwing shoes at it.

Well all three of our garage doors you have to PULL really really hard - so I'd probably see what it was. Otherwise if if it was something foreign I'd probably forget about it.

No one mentioned beeping the car horn to see if "it" runs back out!!
On the other hand we have had possums sleeping in the garage late at night when we had the service door open so I had to:
1. Scream
2. Scream again this time for DH.
3. Climb on highest point possible while screaming and poking possum with stick.
4. Scream for DH again.
5. Get garage door open so the possum now under truck can run outside.
6. Quickly shut all doors!!

i've run into a possum before. I just stared at it like a complete idiot and it stared back at me. Finally I just casually turned and went the other direction hoping and praying it wouldn't follow me. Aand it didn't.
