my cat has been very weak the past few days. worse, she isn't eating. i try to feed her some milk but it seems she isn't drining it, even if it's her favorite. what could be wrong? what can i do for her to eat even just a little bit?

Your kitty needs vet care ASAP! Not eating is a very bads sign. Cats cannot go without food or water in their systems long, their liver begins to shut down. You need to try to get some food in her. You can use a needle- LESS syringe, and gently squirt some chicken broth or really mushy canned food. I STRONGLY urge you to get her to the vet though. I hope she turns around, and starts eating and feeling better soon! Sending many prayers and vibes to you and your kitty. Please keep us updated.

It could be kidney problems - if at all possible, get her to a vet right away!! And until then, I second the chicken broth advice. Please don't let her suffer! My prayers are with you! Susan

As was suggested use a syringe and make sure you keep your cat hydrated and maybe try and get some food down them. Get your cat to a vet asap

I live in Rochester NY in a 2 bedroom apartment.
I agree with all said, let me add this if I may; cats will usually lick food or liquid off of their paws or off their lips or nose area. You could try to put some wet cat food on the pads of her front paws and see if she will lick her paws trying to clean them. If not try to put a little on the front of her mouth. I do hope that you can find a way to get her to the Vet, I know how hard that can be. Good Luck.

I'm far from an expert, but I think most cats are lactose sensitive. So taking in consideration that she is not well milk is not a good answer either. Try what had been said before, needless syringe or food on the paws. We cannot see how bad that is. But it doesn't sound good, so be cautious and seek professional help, VET.

Milk is not a good thing to feed a cat or older kitten. Get the cat to the vet ASAP. I don't worry if they miss an occasional meal, but more then a day, they are in the vet's.

Especially if the cat appears to be weak too!
