Hello Everyone,
I am new to the forum (well I guess that was obvious as this is the new cat on the block section). I have an approximately 7 week old kitten (Tuscon). She is helping me type right now in between attempting to attack my toes. Tuscon is the second kitten in our home. Our first (Shakespeare- shakes for short) died after his declaw.
So I have been hesitant about trying this again.
However, when Tuscon arrived 2 days ago I remembered why I loved my time with Shakes so much.
We are enjoying getting to know each other and all of the inn and the outs of the house. Can't wait to have lots more to share.

We're so happy you've joined us and look forward to getting to know you both better! You must love your new baby so much!
I'm glad you are now better educated on the matter and will not be exposing little Tuscan to the potentially dangerous, painful procedure.

Welcome! I'm sure you will enjoy this site!

. If you don't already have them, invest in a couple of good quality scratching posts (that are sturdy), start now with clipping your kittens nails on a regular basis (so she will get used to it) and you shouldn't have any problems.

I'm sure Tuscon will become just as much a part of your heart as Shakes!
