Here's a story that may give you hope...

my friend's cat had a litter of kittens in high school. Her dad smooshed the kitten's head in a recliner chair. The kitten was bleeding from mouth and nose.... and had a very swollen head. Guess what... it survived! Although, the poor little thing was never normal after that... didn't have a good reaction time and she just seemed "off" personality-wise.

How is precious Willow? She looks okay.... just make sure she gets Pedialyte if she still has diarrhea.

Sending good vibes....

Yes, please let us know if there are any changes in Willow today. I just know she'll be alright!!!! If God wanted her back home, he probably would have taken her yesterday...or at least that's what I believe.

She'll pull though. I'll tell you, it is so easy to step on a kitten...they're tiny (usually quiet), and ALWAYS underfoot as you're walking around. I stepped on Steuben's tail the other morning, and he about went through the roof!!!! It is easy to do, and no one should ever take it too much to heart...it's never deliberate, and we always feel awful about it. The kittens have forgiven us LOONNNGGG before we're able to forgive ourselves.

Chin up, she'll do great. Just keep us posted.

So glad to hear that Willow is doing much better! Did the vet check her mouth for injuries? Maybe that's where all the blood came from initially, and why she still won't eat on her own? I'm just so happy to hear how well she's doing! Hugs to Willow, momma cat, and you! You're doing a great job with her!

Oh I'm sure you are.......we all are, because I think it's happened to all of us at one time or another when we accidentally step on a tail or kick/stumble over one of our kits...........Lord knows we would never hurt them intentionally.........and SO glad your situation is having a positive outcome my friend! Give her a kiss from me tonight!

Aw, this is so good to hear! Come on, Willow, keep fighting!

My kitten that was severly injured grew up to be just fine. There was no sign of damage after she healed. I pray the same is true of Willow, that she grows stronger every day.

I just saw this thread! I am so glad Willow is doing well. Please, try not to feel too bad about what happened. It wasn't your fault. Willow is now recovering & she has you to care for her. Willow is one lucky kitten.

I found this poem for Willow on the net.......its by someone called 'impishlaugh'. Its an extract from the full poem

You are a willow; so thin, so graceful.
A melancholy elegance kisses your brow.
Your aching beauty leaves a lump in my throat.
Though fragile and pale, you are stronger than any switch.
Assailed by the tempest, tossed in the gale,
Your granite integrity leaves you standing.
My eyes well with love and pain.
You are a willow.

Love the poem, and yes, very appropriate. She sounds like she's coming along nicely...and here this time the other night you were so afraid she'd be gone!!!! Well, she's here, and fighting!
