Just had a thought on my ride home, always heard that willows bend but don't break easily. Guess she has the right name. Glad to hear she is doing better. How is momma cat doing with all of this, give her big hugs too.

yay! she's still here! Thats excellent!

Our stepped on 5 week old wouldnt eat for nearly 20 hours.. the vet said that she was very sore and bruised but mostly in shock. The shock takes a while to subside and they just want to rest/sleep.

Try an eye dropper to keep getting some fluids into her and warming kitten food up a little to get the smell happening coaxed our little one into eating.. she didn't have mumma cat around. She was fine six days after the accident. There are threads with her pictures in them somewhere.

I wouldn't have coped if not for the prayers, vibes and support from the folks and their kitties in these forums.

Willow IS a trooper

Its now 5 pm. and willow is responding more and more. She still wont volunterrily open her eyes. But she does react well to petting, She arches her back into the love.. Shes doing better, still not wanting to eat, but im still forcing her mouth open and pushing KMR a tiny bit at a time into her mouth and rubbing her throat, so some goes down. Right now, shes on her side in her drawer and shes pulled the cloth diaper over her face, i dont know why, shes being silly. But shes doing well.. Very sore im sure.

Im so glad shes allright.

Loved this...how perfect for Willow.

What a terrible ordeal you've been through...Leah, you've been here before, haven't you?

Hoping for a speedy recovery.

I had a picture requst for a willow update, so i took a couple of pictures.
I have to say, i just vaccumed, and she opened her eyes and mewed at me. She did NOT like that vaccume!

(good sign i think)

Here is a top view, how she is laying

and her face

shes feeling everyones well wishes i know it. I think shes gonna get something special for dinner... something like steak... puree or something.

Taz is stressed about her, shes scratching at my computer chair, but wont touch her. Shes just acting strange. I keep petting her, and reassuring her that her baby will be allright..

i cant thank everyone enough for all the support ive gotten over the past nearly 20 hours. it means so much to me.

I've heard that, too, that the strength of a willow is that they bend but don't break. Sounds like you named her appropriately.

It is so good to be able to check in and see sweet Willow looking better. I pray you have a restful night with her, and she continues to improve!

I haven't posted yet, but I wanted to say that both you and Willow are in my thoughts and prayers! I'm so glad to see things are looking up.
