I stepped on her. It was after midnight, well its one am now, and i was going to the bathroom, and i stepped on her. I dont know how she got out of the enclosed area, but she did. And the bathroom light was on. She was laying on her back and blood started welling up from her chest and then from her mouth and nose... Its been about 20 minutes, shes still breatheing. I called the vet, but there isnt one open 24 hours in my town, too small. The nearest is 40 miles away, and my husband is in that town right now, so i cant get there, the best i can do is hold her till morning and then get my step father to take me to the vet. If she makes it. Shes bleeding still. Every now and then she heaves like shes trying to be sick. Only nothing happens, I keep expecting her to cough up blood or something. Right now shes cuddled up in two towels with me here. I dont know what to do, I cant go back to sleep now. And i cant just sit here, damn it. I dont know what to do, i think i killed my baby...

Shes still alive at 1 30, but shes had some severe diareahha.,

Taz came in and mewed at her, and she opened her eyes for a second, she looked for taz then closed them, i tried to get her to nurse or to acknowlage that she was near mom again, but she didnt... her whole body is moving with the effort to breathe...

I called my husband and he said i should end it, but i cant, i know shes hurting, but i cant, what if she makes it? What if shes not really that badly hurt? He says that she has to be if shes bleeding from the nose and mouth... i guess i dont want to think about it like that.

I know its hard but I think your Husband is right, If there is no vet open, her agony is just being prolonged.
I Know that i couldn't see one of mine fade in pain, but it is completely your choice.
Praying for you to find the strength

My cousin just talked me though an exam of willow. Her ribs are broken for sure. Shes only 5 weeks old.

The ribs are sticking out at odd angles, the bleeding is from internal bleeding, he said its only a matter of time before she passes. Shes just laying here now, Shes hardly breathing, its labored but even... So i guess its just a waiting game now, to see if she recovers at all.

OMG, I am so terribly sorry this has happened.

Poor little Willow, sending vibes for a peaceful passing.
Many good vibes going out to you as well. I know you must be feeling really devastated, but try to remember it was an accident, I know that doesn't make it any easier right now though.

It is so sad but please do not beat yourself up over it, it couldn't be helped.
We all know what they are like when become explorers and want to start wondering, there is very little you can do to keep them safe while you are in bed!!!
At least this way you have helped her out of her pain as quickly as possible, because you love her!!

God bless little angel!!!
Your Mommy loves you!
